So good! Great for a small meal or a tide-you-over snack. Great value. Incredible taste. I adore Dub Pies.
I love the staff, they make my mornings so much brighter! The pies are a hit, simply scrumptious. Has anyone tried the coffee??? BEST COFFEE in Park Slope. Simply the best. The espresso machine is a must, and they have soy milk.
And the cards that allow you to get your 11th coffee for free? Great idea. Don't forget the two-punch-tuesday :P
I love it. Never tried the delivery, but why would you not want to go over there and chit chat with the employees?
All around amazing. LOVE IT!
DUB Pies has been an institution in Carroll Gardens for a few years now, during which time my family has come to rely on them to supply us with scads and scads of pies to be enjoyed from Boxing Day to New Year's Eve. I was thrilled, then, when I discovered that they recently opened a new shop just south of Prospect Park. I've only ever had the vegetarian curry and spinach-feta-ricotta pies, but they are both absolutely delectable, and so cheap! DUB Pies is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Excellent pies. Seriously. I'm not a fan of mushy peas (not an insult to their peas -- "mushy peas" is an actual dish in former British colonies), but my boyfriend is, and he loved them. Neither of us were a huge fan of the mashed potatoes. They're "dirty" mashed, with the skins in, which I usually like, except they use red potatoes and add something that makes them taste a bit strange.
Still, the pies are so super-cheap and super-tasty that I will definitely be trying many of the other options here.

Yummy steak pies and surprisingly filling for their size.

I love this place. Great coffee, great espresso, great new zealand honey!. I love chatting with the employees. I don't think they know my name but they do call me "Iced Soy Latte!" as soon as I walk in the door.
The pies all taste great, and the mini pies let you get a taste of a few different kinds without having to stuff yourself.
Best thing to happen to windsor terrace since Farrell's opened.
That's some good pie. Since it is conveniently close to the subway and the pies are conveniently like hot pockets I've had almost every pie except for the shepherd's because I am just not into that. But every pie is delicious, except the breakfast one could use a little work. It's kind of bland and dry. When you order a coffee you get it americano style which is very nice. Though I would prefer a flaky crust on the pies, I'm still a fan.
Update: I've since had two breakfast pies.. and they are delicious. I must have gotten that dry one on an off day.

They make decent meat filled pies. Sort of a hipster version of the beef patties you get at Christies'. The crust could use more fat/butter otherwise, it's good eating. It earns one extra star for originality in Windsor Terrace.

hearty, hearty food. It tastes so good. And I am happy there are veggie options as well. I had the chunky steak and cheese and it was amazing. The Tex-Mex "Veggie Pie of the month" while a bit dry was full of flavor. The crust is not flaky. Its smooth and soft and in my opinion, quite good. The mashed potato's and split peas are a bit bland but nothing a little salt can't fix.
The place is still fairly new and a welcome addition to the very sparse restaurant choices in the neighborhood. It is definitely a tiny place - only three tables and just enough room to walk in and order. There is also a bench outside of the place to sit and enjoy your pie.
I think the place is a bit over priced for the size of the pies, but the quality more than makes up for it. In other words, the pies are like the place: a big thing in a little package.

First time I call for delivery, no gravy...I figure let me get the Dub Plate the way it should be, I decline, at least they told me.
Second time I order the Dub Plate, no mention of there being no Gravy. Food arrives, NO GRAVY! OK. The pies are tiny but really good. Not worth $5, but quite delicious. The mashed potatoes and peas in the dub plate? Terrible, ended up pitching them into the garbage, maybe gravy would've helped, who knows.
Third time, I call at 6:00, line is busy. Line was busy for a half hour, are they done delivering for the day?? Menu says open until 10. I order a Pizza instead.
Fourth time I call at 8:30. No more deliveries they tell me. I mention the menu says 10 PM on it, "We really stop an hour earlier than that" I am told. OK, I point out it is only 8:30, not 9:00, but the menu says 10. No good, no food, likely no gravy either.
Fifth time, there is no fifth time, i ripped the menu up and threw it away.
The pies are decent but overpriced at $5 a throw and the Dub Plate? A waste of $9.50.

We went in for the first time and asked, "What do you recommend?"
The girl treated us like we were MORONS and replied, "I dunno, they're all good."
But she LIED. Cos yesterday we got three pies and one of them was OLD. It looked deflated compared to the other two (which were pretty delicious.)
So avoid the rude girl and DON'T get anything that's been sitting for a while! (Breakfast pie is BEST!)

I am so happy to have DUB in the neighborhood. As I mentioned in a previous review, I am always looking for a nice non-committal snack to eat while on the go.
We have tried just about every pie on the menu (at least once). We've been there so many times already that the staff must think we're stalkers. My favorites are Steak and Cheese (not minced) and Shepherds Pie. The Breakfast Pie--a classy incarnation of a ham, egg and cheese--is also quite tasty.
I wish their price point was a bit lower. $4.75 is a bit steep for finger food. But it is still a very welcome food option on PPW.
Their pies are good, but small. I guess it keeps you from eating too much.
